What matters is the method…

What matters is the method…

One of the big dangers of any SAM programme is engaging with the toolset provider prior to actually understanding what your requirements are. Recently we’ve seen several RFPs that have been written with a heavy bias towards the functionality of certain toolsets. These RFPs don’t seem to read like a set of customer requirements and instead feel more like a tick list highlighting the specific functionality of one or other SAM tools. The reality is, whether you’re working with a reseller or an independent consultancy, it really is imperative to work with a partner who is able to help you understand what you’re actual requirements are. As we’ve said before one size does not fit all in SAM and as such, often what you are sold as possible isn’t – certainly not without investing considerable amounts of time and labour.

At SAMcraft we deliver simple SAM assessments that help our customers understand what is achievable in the short, medium and long-term. In the coming weeks we will be publishing a series of case studies that further detail our work with customers, we believe these case studies will shed some light on our unique customer-focused approach and methodologies.

In the interim if you have any questions and queries about the SAMcraft methodology then just email nofear@samcraft.co.uk
